Project MAST
The entire MAST program is awesome. First off I would thank all people involved in coordinating everything and keeping it going everyday.Great job everyone! The favorite and most engaging workshop is the one by Dr. Hunt and Mrs. Gail Dickinson. Everything we talked about during the workshop session is something we can use in the class room. Everything went along with the State Framework, was in detail explained and taught. Every activity introduced was a hands on and came with samples for the classroom. Everyone in there had fun learning and that was a perfect example of how a class room should function. I collected several new approaches on how to teach topics such as sound, wavelengths, force and energy in my class room next year.
I also enjoyed the workshops of Williams and Roberts with weather related topics and survival scenarios that could be interesting to teach. I would be able to incorporate a lot of math and critical thinking into science. The session we had with Hogue and Sarquis was good too. We gained a lot more informative topics that dealt with chemical reactions. These were engaging everyone and it was fun also, similar to Dr. Hunt's in style a lot of hands on stuff that made it interesting and fun.
It is really hard to choose just a couple, they so far were all very informative and I guess it just depends on what oneself is more comfortable with. We all have our own areas of expertise. I for one seem to shy away from technology until I have made myself more familiar with it. Look at me now, I've never blogged before this and here I am now in the world of bloggers. Go figure that :)
